The Origin of the Proactive Job Search
I started my career as a psychotherapist.
I got my first job 2 weeks out of school.
When I left my private practice to try something new, I had very little exposure to the traditional interview process. So when I walked into every interview, I just did what I had been doing for as a therapist for 17 years:
💡 I built trust.
💡 I got to the root of the problem.
💡 I proposed the solution I could offer.
💡 I got commitment on next steps
I didn't think much of the fact that my approach produced offers at least 85% of the time.
But when I started my career in recruiting, I saw firsthand what a disaster the "typical" interview process was. And that my own experience and results were actually not typical at all.
I started teaching people in my network how to use my approach and their success rate, too, was impressive. Using the approach, they said, completely changed the dynamics of the conversation, made them feel far more confident, and - best of all - turned into offers.
I've since taught my Proactive Interview Framework to hundreds of people who've gone on to successfully land their first or next job, all without the frustration and humiliation that typically accompanies job interviews.
❗No more feeling judged.
❗No more pointless "Tell me about yourself" questions.
❗No more wondering if you performed well enough.
❗No more endless waiting for the call that never comes.
The framework isn’t built on gimmicks or on “gaming the system” and it’s not magic. It’s an entirely new way to approach the interview process that puts you in the driver’s seat of your job search and career, right where you belong.
